Sonic 298 Posted August 25, 2007 The poll has once again been changed. Our new poll asks the question, Now that the Mod SDK is here, how interested are you in C&C 3 Modding? If your viewing this news in our main page look the right and cast your vote, if you viewing this news via our forums click here to vote. Once you have voted feel free to share any comments about the new poll. In our previous poll, When do you think an expansion for C&C 3 will be announced? 36% picked the month of August. I suspect some people probably voted after Kane's Wrath was announced. To see the full poll results click here. Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted August 25, 2007 It's hard to have an interest to make one, when I don't know how to open the damn program Share this post Link to post
Redmond Boyle 0 Posted August 25, 2007 It's hard to say, so I'm not gonna vote yet. I'm just installing the MOD SDK so I don't know it's capabilities and such... Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted August 25, 2007 I might change a few little things here and there for me to play with. Like a balance patch! I mean FFS if everyone else is going to make one I'll just add it to the billions that will be submitted in the next few weeks. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted August 25, 2007  @ luk.. i actually intend to check out the SDK. if i am able to use it, maybe ill create a mod . i mean how can you resist the opportunity to change a game to your preference? Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted August 30, 2007 Well like the majority of the votes, I'm interested to play the mods, but not really to make them. But that's simply a lack of skills and time. I think reporting of mod news is a critical part of any gaming community, and I hope you are able to continue giving it attention. It's all a matter of cycles. The first year of the games - news will be about the game itself, then as time passes by, the modification of the older game is more interesting... ie. new capabilities being added to Renegade, new visual experiences of classic games like Tiberian Dawn, or something that creates, credible or interesting new fiction for the universe. -gben Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 42 Posted August 31, 2007 I'm working on a mod but it's like the one I did for RA2. More balance but new stuff as well. However, I do intend on doing 2 total conversions for TW as well. Share this post Link to post
PunWisp 0 Posted August 31, 2007 i thought mod sdk was a actual program, you know things like wc3 map maker, some other programs for diff games i didnt know you would have to actually open files and edit them yourself..... so thats why im not going to bother i liked programs like the dawn of war mod maker things Share this post Link to post

In C&C 3 it's a bunch of files you need to make mods. The whole of a MOD(IFICATION) is that you're MODIFYING game files. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted August 31, 2007 If you want a program, I think Koen is going to make something along the lines of Tib Ed. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 13 Posted August 31, 2007 Although be prepared for 'Anime Guy' to abuse you though if you only use editing pograms. Share this post Link to post
