So I've fine tuned the Question and Answer Challenges for user registration based on your suggestions. Adding in some extra acceptable terms for the names of the games/expansions etc...

I'll look into this later today. Thanks for reporting the problem.
  3. So how big is your home network? How many devices are connected to it? We have many computers, consoles, smartphones and stuff on our one here. And rather than listing them all I thought it would be easer to post a screenshot.... \\ Not shown, the USB External Network Drive connected to the router. Some names blanked out. The ones with coloured icons are active, the grey one are not active.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Oh **** this generation of over critical pretentious fan boys. I enjoyed every part of the movie. It was great to watch it on big screen. If you're Star Wars fan you must see this movie, if you're not a fan I think you would still enjoy it.
  5. Bluehell Productions have posted a new December dev blog about the on going development of Red Alert: A Path Beyond. This update includes previews of the Allied Engineer, Soviet Engineer, Allied Mechanic and Rifle Infantry. Some re-rigged infantry. Improvements to the Binoculars, as well as upgraded Supply Trucks. There is also a look at the new Barracks for the Allies and Soviets. And to finish off with a boom, it's a video of the explosive barrels in action. Click here for the full update.
  6. Throwback Thursday for this week pays tribute to arguably the most iconic unit of them all, the mighty Mammoth Mk. II from Tiberian Sun in 1999. GDI's unmatched quadrupedal walker was designed to change of the course of any battle. It was a brutal combination of raw power, heavy armour and awesome fire-power thanks to it's Rail Guns. Its very clear that Westwood Studios were inspired by the the AT-AT's from the Star Wars franchise for the design of the Mammoth Mk. II. And of course we have always liked the Mammoth Mk. II here at CNCNZ.com, as it has featured in the layout of our site for many years now. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Probably best to avoid them for the next few days then.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

If anyone is going out to see the new Star Wars over the next few days please don't post any spoilers about it here and ruin it for others. I'll be going to see it Friday night (NZ Time of course). If you do go to see it and you simply must discuss plot points please use the spoiler tags.
  9. On one hand. At least Stargate has a future. However the new trilogy of Stargate movies will reboot the franchise and piss away 10 years of SG-1 and 5 years of SGA. As a Stargate fan, that doesn't sit to we'll with me.
  10. Agreed. It just didn't look like a Star Trek movie at all. But I'm prepared to give this one a chance since I liked the first two Abrams Trek movies. Although he's not directing this one. The first Independence Day is one of my favourite movies so I'm keen to see the next one. 20 years between them though, and the lack of Will Smith could be a bad thing. Stargate fans should take note of this new Independence Day movie, because the Dean Devlin/Roland Emmerich duo are the ones bringing Stargate back to the big screen.

    Current Site Issues

If there is, its beyond my knowledge. I can turn off the use of all BBCode in the Shoutbox, but not specific tags. That's why it easier to just turn the off the parsing on media URLs across the forums and it takes care of it. I only turned it back on because I was testing something with how videos are posted in our news updates. As I mentioned, forgot to disable it once I was done.
  12. Wow really!! In this day and age I find that amazing. Everyone I know via work and friends has a cellphone or smartphone of some description. But I'm sure you have your reasons for not having one. While I find it useful to have one, I'm sure life would go on if I didn't have one either.
  13. Perhaps you have more underlying issues to cause these memory leaks? Because I don't have this problem. And my PC is far from modern.
  14. Should be ok if its going in the "PCI_E2" slot. Unless there are some physical restrictions because of the design of your case. I do a see a problem if you have to use the "PCI_E4" slot.
  15. Can honestly say I have not encountered any bugs, major or minor. Performance is great. It boots so damn fast. Even if you don't have a Solid State Hard Drive it still boots up quick.
  16. With the excellent support of our host, MyHost NZ, we have successfully restored our forums to working order. We had to roll-back to a back up from Thursday 3rd December so we did loose a couple of news posts, that have now since been reposted. There are still some minor errors concerning our forums that are currently being investigated. The forums were closed over the weekend, and it would appear the some of our loyal visitors assumed that CNCNZ.com was closing down. To clarify, CNCNZ.com has no intention of ending our long 18 year run covering the C&C Community. It was just a stupid mistake that I made that caused the problem in the first place. We apologise for the inconvenience, but I'm pleased to say the forums are back up and running. And since we are fast approaching that time of year again, I've added some Christmas cheer to the main site and forums.
  17. Its time for Throwback Thursday once again. When you need something big, scary and loaded with plenty of fire power all need the Soviet's Kirov Airship, that first appeared in Red Alert 2 from 2000. Another iconic Command & Conquer unit. These slow moving flying fortresses really take a pounding to bring down and they pack a serious punch, carpet bombing their helpless enemies from the skies. It truly is death from above.
