Post Your Internet Speeds

Recommended Posts

you get free internet up until 200mb each month (amazingly some people do manage to stay under this) and then you have to pay for each extra gig of download. Myself though i'm on a staff account so i get unlimited :D

not bad o.o could be better, could be worse o.O but it's a workable speed. and wow alpha XD i knew uni lines had to be fast to support the whole campus, but surely you don't get that kind of speed on each download? o.O; that would be a 500MB download in a minute or two XD;

Keh! If I had that kind of connection, I would get a 1TB harddrive so I can indulge myself into downloading.

Ha... it's sad, but at least I beat Luk3us (again!)

This thread would be more meaningful if we also include cost to get said service!

My paltry speeds are worth $40/m.

Eh, mine is a combination of cable TV and broadband. Should be around $120/m.

250GB + 320GB external... I am needing a 1TB though, filling up quick!

Download is nice but no one has great upload like I do... I make a good seeder compared to most I suppose.

My parents pay ~40 USD (53NZD) but we get this all in one thing, so it probably comes down to more of 35 USD (47NZD). So compared to you... Our service owns for the price. :P About 25 times greater upload and 11 times greater download :P

Upload isn't that important though, which is why most places can get away with it.

Actually, since the pound is about twice the USD, we pay almost exactly what you do for high-speed. Also, we pay about half of what you do for computer parts. :P

o.O; yah. $2 - £1... but the uk is so freaking expensive everything costs more here X3; house prices are just insane and shopping is even more expensive now o.o; the other day mom was bitching because something she bought went up from £1 to £1.75 in a day o.O; i mean a four 2lt pack of coca cola bottles costs about £5... a little more, a little cheaper depending what shop you go to... a single can costs 50p - 75p, a small bottle costs £75 - £2 o.o;

Upload is very important.

Your opinion is biased though. :P The majority of people don't need decent upload speeds, because at most they might upload a few photos here and there and maybe the odd video.

Majority of people don't, but it's very nice to have in my case. Especially with me hosting recover's C&C3 and KW videos. Those would have took forever without good upload.

that's why i like the european aol ^^ they're actually pretty darn good o.o everyone chews out aol all the time but we've had good service apart from a month or so half a year back when my speeds got randomly capped. but i think that's cos they were upgrading everyone's speeds o.o; unlimited download/upload (well there is a FUP but it's very VERY reasonable) and apparently an 8MB connection all for about £27 per month o.o;
