Julbri 0 Posted February 20, 2009 Contradiction much? My thoughts exactly, If i install xp i would either have to clean install or dual boot, and since i want to dual boot seven with all my files nice and safe, i would have to dual boot xp then dual boot Seven wouldnt i? Sonic 296 Posted February 20, 2009 What are the benefits of having a dual boot setup with XP/Vista/Win7 or any combination anyway? A dual boot of Windows/Linux I can understand, but Windows/Windows seems pointless. Share this post Link to post

Doctor Destiny 41 Posted February 20, 2009 Contradiction much? He has vista if that helps I said that backwards. If you install XP second, you overwrite Vista's bootloader. How the **** did I not catch that? Share this post Link to post

jeff_windows_team 0 Posted February 23, 2009 Here are two different guides for dual booting if anyone is still looking to do so- http://www.lifehacker.com.au/tips/2009/01/...or_vista-2.html and http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/e...2749fe1033.mspx . Malevolence- Windows 7 will support DirectX 11. A software development kit was released back in November to developers giving them a sample of DirectX 11, and the plan is that DirectX 11 will be finished in time for the release of Windows 7. Nmenth 291 Posted February 25, 2009 And when the hell did you overtake me in posts? There's only one word for peole who do that, Spammers Look at our join dates, noobicus, I was here more than a year before you. Because this is going pretty of topic, I'll have to throw this in: I hope Windows 7 is a large improvement over Vista, but it is unlikely that I will acquire it within the first year or two of its release.
