Luk3us 63 Posted March 2, 2009 503 Service Temporarily unavailable. I've been getting a few of these lately. Whilst visiting the forums. Usually goes away after a few minutes. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted March 2, 2009 Yes I get them as well. And it appears to only be related to CNCNZ.com. When CNCNZ.com becomes inaccessible other sites hosted on this server are fine. I'm in the process of finding out what's going on. Share this post Link to post
Malevolence 6 Posted March 2, 2009 I thought it was my internet connection. Amen to that. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted March 3, 2009 I don't have anything new to report about these annoying errors. Other than I've contacted the appropriate person. In the mean time. If you run into to these errors again, please post the time and date your experienced them. Are you trying to access the forums, the downloads section or main site, any error messages from the server etc..... UPDATE: Ok we think we have discovered the problem. Details explained in this news thread http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?showtopic=11564. Share this post Link to post

Sonic 293 Posted March 11, 2009 That's not the 503 error like we were getting before. From what I can tell the 500 error code comes up when the the whole server is under heavy load and sometimes this happens. I can only control what CNCNZ.com does. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 289 Posted March 11, 2009 That's not the 503 error like we were getting before. I know, that's why I screen shot it. I figured it'd be better to show it than ignore it. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted March 12, 2009 I think I have had those errors too, but I thought it was related to the downloads thing you have already addressed. It usually happens when I'm typing a post, and then when I click update, it gets the error from the quick reply button. I remember it distinctly from the epic 'video of the day' post I never completed due to the error... If it happens again I'll pay attention and update you. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted March 12, 2009 I had the 500 - Internal Server Error the other day when the downloads section was disabled. So I don't think its releated to the downloads section being enabled again. 503 - Service Temporarily Unavailable are the ones I don't want see. Share this post Link to post

Sonic 293 Posted March 18, 2009 Oh wonderful.... the 503 error came back. Might have to take the Downloads offline again Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted March 18, 2009 Such is the folly of download managers... Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted March 18, 2009 Well its caused nothing but trouble so I'm considering dumping it, then telling IPS about it and asking for a refund in the process. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted March 18, 2009 It was only the one 503 error I noticed, but it has been fine for the past 5-6 hours. Share this post Link to post
Malevolence 6 Posted March 18, 2009 Actually I have been around CNCNZ regularly since god knows when till today, but honestly, I didn't notice any errors. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 289 Posted March 18, 2009 I just got one while trying to load this topic (there is some irony in that). It was the 503, service temporarily unavailable one. Then I got a new error while trying to add this reply: Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted March 18, 2009 IPS Driver Error means the forums can't contact the database server or something along those lines. Possibly related to the 503. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 39 Posted March 19, 2009 IPS Driver Error means the forums can't contact the database server or something along those lines. Possibly related to the 503. Has been forum been back to normal yet OR are you still making changes to the CNCNZ's website and forums? Share this post Link to post
