The Roundtable Returns - Special C&C 4 Review Edition

After a 2 month break the CNCNZ.com Roundtable has returned with a special Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight Special Review Edition. We have assembled a great panel to analyse, dissect and basically share our final thoughts on Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. The full panel list is below. I had hoped Lion from the CNC Den was able to take part but it was not to be. I won't say who, but many people asked to be included in this special Roundtable. You will also notice that each panellist has given a final score out of 10. So we have decide to include an average score and the end. And what is that score? Well you will just have read the Roundtable to find out.

This special return edition of the Roundtable also sees some changes in terms of when they will be done. Previously they were done at the end of each month, they will now be moved to the middle. We will aim to complete one on a month to month basis but don't be surprised if it takes a month off from time to time.

Overall 5.2/10. Hey, at least I am generous enough to give an epic 5.5! Like I said before, C&C4 storyline was the main cause for the bad score for the overall game.

After reading people's scores, I thought 5.2 seemed lower than it should have been... I guess I shouldn't have just trusted you had gotten it right.

Agreed. When playing against the AI in skirmish I see crawlers unpacking and units coming out all the time.

The C&C Community survived about 3 years without EA. I think we will be fine, and I think they haven't given up on us, well not yet anyways.

 

People still create mods for "C&C" games, whenever it's C&C3, RA3, Generals, Tiberian Sun, RA2 heck even RA1 and Dune 2! And there are plenty of mod news around if you bother to look.

Whatever the reviews are, let's just admit, this product definitely brought about at least some degree of disappointment to all of us, especially the hardcore fans who were expecting something big in the finale of the tiberium saga.

Like you know what they say, EA just end it with, the answer is obvious, with a whimper. They never entertain us anymore, they're treating it like a business, which game companies should not behave like this, and their sales will, err..., don't wanna talk more, you know the rest.

As I said at towards the end of the original news post above. We will try to do them each month but this will be decided based on the amount news. If I can get 4-6 decent question to be used as discussion topics there will be a Roundtable. That's why we never did one for February and March, just nothing worth discussing.

Yeah our last long drought between C&C games was the Generals - BFME - C&C 3 era. The community basically covered mods the most during that time period.

Yeah there some disappointment with C&C 4, but its different for everybody. It could be the online requirement, the storyline, the new gameplay system, the graphics, the music. Some hate that stuff while other like it. In the end its a matter of personal taste.

I'm glad I won a copy. You can have (great) fun with this game, but it isn't worth 50 bucks. That's my 2 cents.
