More information about Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection has been posted on the Official C&C Site. There are now links to pre-order the physical or digital version as well as the all informative FAQ that you can read below.

What comes in the box if I buy the physical version?

You will get a code to enter into Origin to be able to download and play the 17 titles as you please. You will also get a CD with the music compilation, a commemorative piece of art (as pictured on the webpage), and you will be entitled for early access to Command & Conquer.

What's the difference between the physical and digital versions?

The physical version includes a code to download the 17 titles, the music CD, the commemorative art, and the early access to Command & Conquer. The digital version includes the 17 titles, the early access to Command & Conquer, and the music compilation as a download within Origin.

What does "early access to the next Command & Conquer" mean?

We have not released details on timing yet, but it will entitle you to early access to Command & Conquer. This is separate from and earlier than the public beta registration. Once you've purchased or redeemed a code for The Ultimate Collection in Origin, we will be able to contact you with further information about the early access. For more information, please visit www.CommandandConquer.com/free.

If I already own some or all of these games, what's new about these?

The 17 titles have been updated to work for Windows 7 and Windows Vista. In addition, since they are now playable via Origin, you will be able to utilize many of the Origin features such as cloud saves.

$50? I'll consider it at 10.

This isn't worth it and the pain to get through it is by downloading them all via Origin (I bet), unless you have a fast fiber-optic cable connection to save time. So why release a boxed version with no discs and just a code? Unacceptable.

i agree with you Zocom7 where is the disc, only via codes. what tight a*** well over priced for a piece of paper, i want it on a disc like it always should be. at least i still have TFD and each game as they came out.

Yeah, suddenly went from a great decision to a poor one. I loved the idea of buying the full set, but not for downloading specifically.

I'm all for downloading, but Origin is not my preferred method of doing so.

This is plain and utter bull****. I might consider this if there was a chance at getting the soundtrack and artwork but since I'm a subhuman non-American that's not an option. Come on EA! It's 2012, "shipping" things throughout the world takes no effort on your part.

Not to mention the lack of CD's/DVD's...

That's their effort to create such "Steam Play". I am not against, but why the hell my local Origin does not have this offer?!

Then how come I have the Red Alert 3 Premier Edition with the bonus disc, soundtrack disc and poster right here near the computer desk? Bought in a local book/multimedia shop, not online.

So far the Win7 compatibility is the only thing going for it... but I'll wait until someone confirms it's ease of us before it becomes a positive and not another failed promise...

There's another major drawback about this release, you cannot play any C&C add-ons because Origin has no support on them yet.

I was thinking about the win7 compatibility line... and wondering about patches for the retail versions that we already own.

I can dream can't I...

this is not a pump.

i was thinking of getting this cause of the win 7 compatibility, but when i realized they are all connected to Origin, than my worry is would i have to play on line evern for old old game like RA2, or newer one TW??

The music disc track list is as follows (thx CnCSaga):

Only one track from the extraordinary TS soundtrack? Four Generals 1 tracks? Yuriko's Theme? C&C4 tracks? Waste of a 700 MB media.

20 tracks? That can't be the whole list...

Whaat. Only thing that kept my attention on this pack was the music, but if those tracks are the only ones included, I won't consider it. Disappointing to say the least.

I think they mentioned that number before. I'm sure of it.

You wouldn't get it anyway :P

Guess I wasn't paying attention. That's a pretty pathetic attempt at a compilation.

I'd definitely buy it if it had all the Command & Conquer soundtracks in high quality.

You wouldn't get it in Denmark :P It's reserved for US buyers only, remember?

I'll be buying it for

-Command & Conquer F2P Beta. I'm already registered but buying this should definitely get me.

-Windows 7 compatibility. CNC is timeless and I must have access to all games at all times.

-A few of the older games I've lost or were damaged when I moved home.

-All the extras, might be interesting.

Haven't found a place to order it yet.
