Does it have a problem? Because when I went to Rebellionwebsite all the menu options in the bar of Gaming Source were in 1 line and extended down in big yellow.....

No problems with GS network bar for me either. Never had any problems with it at all. Tested with Firefox and IE on CNCNZ.com, Rebellion and CNC Den.

If there were problems with it they should be reported to Robin at Gaming Source anyway, he updates it as sites are added to the GS network, not me.

Maybe its the code included in the banner ad that interfers with GS network bar?, most people outside the USA/Canada should only see the default the Gaming Source banner most of the time, if your in the USA/Canada region you will get more targetted ads. Something in that coding may be causing problems.... just guessing here.

Here is a pic, I uploaded it just now, 16:30 GMT +1 time, and I'm not fully sure how long it might take to get it fully loaded though.

Weird Bar

All the way down is then the rest of the page....

Sometimes I get that in the CNCNZ and the Dens. I just refresh and it disappears.

Yeh F5 Refresh gets rid of it but only once, it comes back some time later

Must be an IE problem since I saw an error icon in the bottom right corner. IE sucks and that's just more of such claim.

IE sucks. Go Firefox.

I use IE, never seen that problem though. Hmm....

I'll report this to Robin and Gaming Source, looks like a problem with IE to me.

Switch to Firefox for the quick and best fix.

Matter of fact, I just had some conection problems today with IE. My sisters computer (same specs almost as mine) was running IE fine, mine said I was connected, but in reality, I wasnt able to bring up any web page at all. Not even here. For a while, anyway. I rebooted and it worked again (obviously, I am posting here) I notified Microsoft, but I doubt they'll do any thing.

I use both IE and America Online. The bar rarely pops up but F5 always fixes it. When I use AOL (America Online), ths bar never pops up.

For those of you poeple who don't know what AOL is, its an internet provider/ mailservice that comes with virus scans, anti-spyware, and stuff. Provider of AIM or AOL instant messenger.

Personally, I never liked AOL. America Online. You have to pay for it seperatley. I know you pay for internet, but other browsers are free, and have all the benifits of AOL, and the updates are free. And AOL is way to restricting. I coulnt even look up info on Biblical theroys of the Appocalypse. AOL security didnt allow it. And it has the all time annoyance "you've got mail"

When I used that it was utterly crap. Crap connection speeds and their stuff ass browser.... Horrible, horrible, horrible. Only reason I used em' was cause they were free.

Oh man... AOL is a CANCER. Don't let it near your computer! It will hijack file associations, clog up your system resources, and make your life a living hell!!!!

I have an AOL account simply because I've had it for nearly a decade. I hate changing addresses.... but I haven't installed the software on my PC. I just check my mail through the website and use Trillian to IM

"You've got mail!"

*shudder*

AOL sux0rs. The browser is utter tat. Sure the contents might be good (music vids, music downloads etc) but the suck-assness of the browser and all that is not worth it!

Correction: AOL Dialup is horrible. Slow, unrespnsive browser.....

AOL Broadband with DSL connection is good: Fast connection, Fast browser

I've got 512 MB Ram. 160 GB HD, more than enough to handle AOL 9.0 Security Edition

Problem is price:

AOL Dialup: 30$

AOl broadband+Verizon DSL: 60$

The 30$ aol charge is only for the account. For dialup, going online process fee is the same as making a telephone call.

And for restrictions, Cygnus, that only happens with parental controls. Did your parents restrict your internet access? If your account is set to General, not teen or kid, you can view anything u want

No porn for you my friend.... Though all you'd have to do would be to use a proxy.

WTF?? It wasnt even my comp, as I STATED. It was security, like the spam blockers and popup blockers and all that crap that comes with it. He set the acount up him self, no parental controls or any ****. And I'm not a porn ass hole. I have morals you know (or obviously, dont) BTW AOL sucks ass anyhow. I dont care how much they put in it. Its only free for 30 days, then they **** you with all kninds of crap bills.

And AOL broadband with DSL is slow as hell. On a 512mb RAM even. Other services are better and cheaper. I personally have a cable internet, they bill with my TV cable bill, which I had free cable for 2 months when I had it installed. There, beat that with AOL.

yeah, u can have up to 7 Screennames for each account. When you create a screenname, u choose what category it it: kid, young teen, matureteen, general (adult),

Kid: stupid AOL Kids.

Young teen: No violence, porn or mature stuff.

Mature teen: No porn but yes violence

General: Everything

The security is for the AOL browser and SN, no the PC. If u sign on to an adult SN on the same account and PC, u can view eveything. Type <Parental Controls> in AOL Keyword
