The thing is though, if RA3 doesn't come soon, a lot of people might consider Generals and ZH to be old and mods for those games might show up less, just like what happened to RA2 mods when Generals popped up, however, if RA3 comes soon, a lot of Generals/ZH mods might have a problem...

Haha, on the contrary, there are heaps of people there. Well, except for the International lobby. Now -that- is a desolate place.

You forgot the people who play online, and just before they loose, they quit the game, because they can't accept defeat. Idiots I say. I got pawnd three times over in one game. :lol: :lol:

I don't hate C&C!! I'm not trying to portray that, but I've played through them so many times (including most of the mods) over the last year that I'm growing bored of them. I'd rather let them grow on me again before I attempt to install them again.

 

It's been the same for my favourite RTS Imperium Galactica 2. Back then I played that until I was literally bored sick of it. Now I reinstalled it after a couple of years it's been like the reunion of a love once lost. I've realised how much I missed it... This will be the same for C&C in time.

 

But since RA3 isn't showing anytime soon, I'm kinda on other RTS games at the moment. I've played most of the mods and I've exhausted most of the possibilities open to me....

 

But consider this, if C&C was such a dead end for me, would I have accepted to become co-webmaster of CNCNZ and to be honest would I still be here?

 

I have been like that in the past where I thought C&C was dead with Westwood gone. But I still have alot of faith in EA to deliver the goods. There is something brewing below the surface, and in time it will erupt like a volcano. As long as we remain faithful and wait with baited breath then I believe we will be wondering why we were so hateful towards EA. :wink:

We don't hate EA in an evil kind of way, we just don't like them for what they did to Westwood Studios and how cough badly cough they made Generals and ZH, which is the reason why we are at this point....

 

Mods are basicly the only thing that keep the community running, and if everyone gets bored with C&C games, then why make a mod for one?

 

If RA3 gets here to late.......

:lol: King I didn't mean it like that at all, I know what you mean, as since getting RA2 and then YR I've played the damn thing to bits..mostly because it's the only game I actually have that works on my computer. I know that if I were to get Generals + Zero Hour and play -them- to bits, I'd immediatly get excited about YR again. Just like what your said. I didn't mean it in an offensive way, sorry if it seemed like that.

I suppose the community will pick up when info bout RA3 comes out. I mean when are they going to offically annouce RA3? Or have they already? I've been out of the loop lately.

They have officially announced it, at least, one of the guys emailed Lion at CNC Den basically saying that. But of course, a release date hasn't been announed yet. But at least we know it's in production

 

I wonder if E3 will have anything on it? I doubt it, to be honest.

Sorry Acerz but RA3 hasn't been officially announced yet. The e-mail was just between Mark Skaggs and the C&C community to say they have started working on the next C&C set in the Red Alert universe. And we are still waiting for the official announcement.
