Command & Conquer: The First Decade Announced!

Recommended Posts

I Must admit, it would be nice to see our names or even CNCNZ.com in the credits... but there's very little chance of that happening. Afterall this C&C 10 idea wasn't ours, it'll go down in their history as being EA's

I hope they prove me wrong

Hope... Come on King... Its EA man...

I wouldn't be suprised if this was released about the same time as EAW

They said it will be released in February. But then again who know if they will keep to their deadline? Or on the other hand they could keep to the deadline & instead rush the job & screw it up.

EA screw up the release of the First Decade pack?, how hard will it be to re-press CD copies of the old C&C games, print up some boxes, Throw in the stupid DVD. As for making C&C and RA WinXP ready I would say that all they will do is include the small 15KB patch Westwood made years ago, that every C&C fan site has available, either already patched into the games or with some intructions on how to apply to update yourself.

This First Decade pack is nothing great, if your missing any of the C&C games for your collection by all means buy it. If you already have all C&C games save your dollars and buy Empire at War instead.

Well, its hard enough that they're waiting till February to release it :?

But yeah, I'm buying both, as my renegade screwed up, and I don't have but RA1/2, Generals/ZH (lost original generals disks, so now only ZH :( )now 'cause of that; but I'll buy EAW if it comes to one or the other

I just wish the banner on the First Decade site looked more like this....

Cheers for now

Why would it include the Dune logos?, Dune is nothing to do with C&C.

Beats me. *shrug* Mind you a couple of the Dune games were pretty good.

But yes, 'tis CnC we're all talking about here, so why Dune? :?

Why have I not heard of any of the games on the top row? Excluding Generals, of course.

Yeah, same here! (except for Sole Survivor)

Well, Dune itself maybe. But if it wasn't for Dune 2, there would be no C & C as we know it...and they certainly have as much right to be there as Generals...

Cheers for now

Armo(u)red Attack and Attack Copter are Generals "spin offs" that are online at Pogo.

Attack Copter looks like it was based on the "Strike" series of chopper games by EA. Desert, Jungle, Urban, Soviet and Nuclear Strike were great :)

Armo(u)red Attack is a game where you just drive your tank around shooting at stuff, vaguely themed on Generals ;)

Combat Card game is available here (I only found out about it last week!). It's Top Trumps for Generals, though some of the cards need a bit of tweaking to be accurate.

Cheers for now

Combat cards is good. The GLA is easy to win with. China is medium. USA is difficult.

The GLA's army is thrown together of items found around the house or at the dollar store, so focus on their cheapness, build time, and, occassionally, speed.

The bomb truck also has a very superior amount of firepower.

Ooooh....sounds interesting. Although I'm not really one for card games. :P

*smacks forehead*

combat card game ? What the hell is this world coming to ? GIVE US ANOTHER C&C DMANIT !!!

ok, had to get htat out. EAW. That will do. But I wish EA would friggin wake up. All these email from Kaufman and others makes you think that they care now, then bam. This was it. Woo.....no. Not at all.

*dusts off rocket launcher*

as for EA......

That game is too easy. I played as USA twice, and the other sides once each. Never lost. The computer never had the advantage, and only came close to that once
