i think that monster hunter & Psi-Ops were very underrated by gamespot

Empire Earth 1/2, Superpower 2

 

Superpower 2 is so adictive when you start playing multiplayer

Gunmetal was vastly underrated, for the sole reason it was horrificly buggy on release. too bad, it had a LOT of promise.

One underrated game more closer to our hearts is Renegade... It may have been a couple of years behind other First Person Shooters, but in terms of gameplay, it was certainly better than many a First Person shooter!

true....C&C mode is a unique style cause if focuses on tanks and building destruction rather than infantry firefights

 

 

Emperor: Battle for Dune is also underrated. its a great game, but EA didnt market it enough, so u can only get it off ebay.....

I left out the greatest one of all Star wars Battlefront 1/2

 

really popular on xbox and ps2. (battlefront 1 was the highest selling starwars game ever) However PC versions have failed in terms of multiplayer community. Although lucasarts have been pretty poor with support for the PC versions.

yea renegade is underrated....and i like emperor and have it but the game doesnt launch for some reason...

 

um underrated games:

 

killzone-alot of people dont think its that good...BS!

 

ratchet & clank1,2,3,4-everyone thinks its a game for kids...if u didnt ever play any your missing out!

Killzone... yeah I bought that game for a couple of bucks. It sucked. Rachet & Clank is good and Battlefront pwns. Especially multi-player.

Killzone looked good to begin with, then after the first level or 2 fell off a rather large cliff. It completely lost its polish, felt clunky, slow and boring. Level design proved to get worse as the game went on and the characters felt too similar to each other, there was nothing really too unique about them.

 

The whole game was missing something huge. The gameplay simply had no variety and no suprises within. The game as a result became too easy and repetitive to play after just a few hours.

 

Killzone had the promise, it just didn't deliver.

i can agree somewhat...that after a while i kikd ass....i think it has alot of multi-player potential though...needs more weapons...

 

there was nothing really too unique about them

well kind of..they all had different guns...and in the manual it talks about certain abilities such as the stealth girl had infrared and the big gun guy had extra strength, and the spy guy couldnt be detected by enemy sensors or something...

 

i think the levels were very nice...especially the swamp...

- Earth 2150 = SOOOO underrated. Try to play it via multiplayer, and compare it to C&C games. It's very different (but fun & interesting).

 

And indeed Battle for Dune (even though I don't have the game myself)

 

I thought that killzone would be THE shooter, bought it for the multiplayer & that was fun for a couple of hours. After that it was just boring. I also got pissed because of the unorthodox 'sniper zoom/scope'.

Instead of moving the whole 'screen' to the left, it would move the cursor IN the screen to the left, until it reached the edge of the screen, THEN the screen would move....

Indeed, I never did - cause I thought the character looked crap (and I didn't have the internet back then ^^)

 

I forgot to mention 'stronghold crusader' btw, great game 2!

i think the cursor in the KILLZONE sniper was smart..cuz every game snipers dominate...and snipers are cowards..so thats y i liked it 8)

 

i think the movements of the characters were very realistic and the kickback for guns was unrealistic in many other FPS for PS2...also, the grenades ruled..cooking grenades was what i thought a great element....and lastly....there should have been more guns but they basically covered the main catergories....i thought gameplay was its best part...i didnt mind playing a comp stomp with bots alll the time being that i didnt have online...

Stronghold Crusader doesn't really add much to the game but a couple of right-from-the-start buyable units. And they have more or less the same weapons, too. The original Stronghold was much better :!: Especially its campaign.

Would you come off this game already? KillZone is another subpar FPS title. There's nothing great or revolutionary about it. It's same ****, different game. :roll:

I didn't play the first stronghold.

 

They aren't all buyable from the start btw, you need to have the 'stables' for instance, before you can buy a knight.

I like it because of the castle building aspect (and the way it looks..)

true...and relax...i am off it.....just couldnt think of any other games i thought was underrated...havent been on top of gaming ina while...usually buy the PROPERLY rated games so STFU :shock: lol....

 

ive been playin CS:Source and also REN but only if one of you guys or Xphaze is on...

Those that aren't already buyable from the start, were in the orginal Stronghold. So, Stronghold > Stronghold Crusader

 

I never played Stronghold 2 though :cry:
