Jared Mendelson ?

Yeah, he produced the soundtrack for TS. It's a common misconception that Kelepacki made the Tiberian Sun soundtrack.

Actually both Frank Klepacki and Jarrid Mendelson composed and performed all the songs for the TibSun soundtrack. There are a couple where they both worked together.

The track list......

  • Timebomb (Klepacki)

[*]Pharotek (Mendelson)

[*]Lone Trooper (Klepacki)

[*]Scouting (Mendelson)

[*]Infrared (Klepacki)

[*]Flurry (Klepacki/Mendelson)

[*]Mutants (Klepacki/Mendelson)

[*]Gloom (Mendelson)

[*]Heroism (Mendelson)

[*]Approach (Klepacki)

[*]Dusk Hour (Klepacki/Mendelson)

[*]The Defense (Mendelson)

[*]Mad Rap (Klepacki)

[*]Valves (Klepacki)

[*]What Lurks (Klepacki)

[*]Score (Klepacki)

  • It was produced by Brett Sperry and Paul Mundra.....

The song "Stomp" was written for TS but dropped later on, it reappeared in Renegade.

And something most interesting in our C&C10 interview with Frank Klepacki when we asked this question.....

CNCNZ.com: If you could travel back in time what would you go back and change in any of the C&C games?

Frank: The in-game soundtrack to Tiberian Sun - needed more rockin' tunes mixed in! Wasn't my choice… Made up for it in Firestorm ;)

I never hated this TS music but I agree with Frank, more rock songs were needed. Thats why I hope they go with a rock theme for C&C3 and not get Bill Brown (General soundtrack) to do it.

lol...i wouldnt mind that either...just not boring ambience...

dont any of you remember CNCTD..."BUILDING..BUILDING...yes sir?..roger....*no mercy playing*....BOOM BANG BOOM...BOOOOOOM...AAAAAAAAAA...."air strike ready".....*napalm*...ahhhhhhhhhh...."im a mechanical, im a mechanical, im a mechanical man..."...........

rock/metal and whatever cncTD music is classified as...is ambient to war...or at least 'tiberian war'

 :welcome: hi there this is a cnc game...we rock out with our apoc's out........... :P

If ya can hear it, then "Times" Is an excellent song...

Don't know it? Nod Ending Credits. It's from Klepacki's album "I AM".. snippet at his site. This song and Act On Instinct are my favourites, way above Hell March... But that's my personal opinion.

I'm with ya there King. C&C had the best music, but RA was a very close second. You just can't deny the old school awesomeness of the C&C soundtrack! :P

I think you spelled blasphemy wrong BWare 8)

oh and Fenring, about the music thing

:P I was half right. I remembered Franks comment in the interview that was mentioned earlier, so I assumed that he played at least some part in writing hte TS music. And writing/playing are very veyr different from producing.

I loved the TS ambience, absolutley loved it. But it does need more TD-esque tunes. Even a few of the RA2 songs werent bad, (that doenst make them particullarly good though)

RA has an awesome ambience and seriousness to it as well. But all in all, I think TS has the best run for seriousness and a "get your head outa your arse" style to it. Cause if you didnt, by the 5 missions for either side, you were dead 8)

Not really. There's an implied you in front of the verb then... technically, it's still right. Grammar Nazi #2 wins this one. :P

Yeah, a case can be made for that, but the fact is that I typed a word I didn't mean to... :(

But thanks for the insight Grammar Nazi Mk. II.

Agreed.

the "bad" sound quality of TD is one of many aspects that made it all the more memorable. I like it.
