Saracen 16 Posted April 21, 2006 Around the community, I'm seeing negetivity. People have whined and complained about the fact that there has been no C&C. Now one has been announced, people are complaining about the concepts behind this game before any real information is released! Whether or not it's the GDI Logo, their suits, or the aparent fact that GDI have gone back to a Mammoth Mk1, many people seem unhappy. Is it because the community wanted Red Alert 3? Were they hoping to see much more? Who know's exactly what each individual is thinking, but I know this. Most of the people in this community were not here when Tiberian Sun was released. Red Alert 2 was generally the first C&C game they played. Well for the majority of us Veterans who have been here since 1997, we have no complaints. We're just very happy to have a sequal to Tiberian Sun after almost 7 years! Share this post Link to post

Staude 0 Posted April 21, 2006 i for one am very excited to see what will become of this game... i do like the tiberium era better tho (tib dawn was my first game) which might explain some of my excitement.. one of the things i really think is incredable is that they have actually researched what tiberium consists of and how it would behave in reality etc.. ... that really does show commitment.. and the fact that cutscenes will return aswell as kane yay !.. and my favorite mammoth is the x66.. but even though they went back to the old style, its clear that its a completely new design im looking forward to e3 where they hopefully will reveal more Share this post Link to post

BWare 0 Posted April 21, 2006 Yeah, there's no reason for pessimism. I mean, isn't this the very thing we've been bitching about up to this point? Now that we have an official announcement, that they're ACTUALLY MAKING TIBERIAN TWILIGHT , we really shouldn't be complaining. At all. There may be some room for concern with the legacy in the hands of a corporate monster, but for now, why don't we look at the bright side of things? THEY'RE MAKING TIBERIAN TWILIGHT! It's stupid to say C&C:3 looks rubbish just from those screen shots, as the game is at such an early stage the way everything looks can change, like if you look at early RA2 screenshots for example almost all the untis showns look nothing like the final versions. here's an example >_> Share this post Link to post

-NickoheaD- 0 Posted April 21, 2006 To be honest, I'm just glad/relieved they're working on a game set in the Tiberian Universe. I never thought EA would touch it. C&C and TS have always been my favorites, so I am very excited about this. The news of real-time cutscenes and the return of Kane have also hyped me up. I actually get the feeling EA are trying a lot harder with this game. Hell..If EA were simply out for money they would have gone ahead with RA3, since that's quite obviously the more popular of the two universes. Share this post Link to post

Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 22, 2006 I for one, am exstatic. C&C 95 was my first. To correct Theirry, I havent seen a real C&C since FS was released (RA2 was fun, but come one, a real story?) I have always loved TS, and I am greatly looking foreward to TT (or whatever they will call it). Who cares about the complaints? These are just prelim shots. My complaint (just for the heck) is that the troopers have the eheavy enviro suits, yet they have exposed faces. All that protection, only to breathe in the tiberiuim poisoned ari? EA are now probably doing the same, if anything it's good to see that companies can take inspiration from other media and run with it. I'll keep saying this though. The game is in good hands.
