C&C FPS: Tiberium Gallery Online

It would appear that this new C&C FPS is 100% real so I've uploaded a gallery of scans and photos from the new Command & Conquer FPS: Tiberium that was featured in the Game Informer magazine. Below are just a few.....

If the game does come out, I would very much like to try it out.

Maybe it will implement hidden codes like some other Shooter games.(Splinter cell, Halo, etc)

Following Crysis, Bioshock and the like. It looks to me like it is called "Tiberium".

The Scrin things and the GDI battle armors look really bad ass. Way better than the unit design from Tibwars, way better than I expected.

 

It looks more like the unreal engine to I'd be surprised if it was the crysis engine thingy because it says for 360 and PS3 as well, and the unreal engine is more multi format friendly.

There is a version of Crysis heading for the Xbox 360.

 

CryEngine 2 is apparently "in house" at EALA so I'd say its a safe bet this new C&C FPS is using a modified version of CryEngine 2.

 

I also think that "TIberium" is just a working title.

But if it turns out anything like the far cry that appeared on the original X-box it'll be graphically cut down quiet heavily. I love the 360 but I don't think it can handle the full Crysis engine. I'd hate it to be a cut down version with extra long loading times, and a bad frame rate ECT...

 

The unreal engine was used by EALA in Medal of Honour Airborne, so they have experienced it! You could very well be right thou Sonic.

another... emphasis on not yet another expansion.

when you take a moment to think about it - this really is good news for the franchise. I guess it's a different kind of 'cashcow'.

 

By placing it in the future, EALA have the freedom to create a whole bunch of new designs and concepts... but is that a good thing? This could have simply been any other sci-fi fps where they slapped some tiberum in the middle and called it "the second coming of Kane". And are they missing out on the appeal of seeing familiar units up close and personal ala renegade style?

 

So now the other obvious question... is that cgi rendered fps footage discussed in roundtable related to this game?

I decided to start a site about the game, since I was a HUGE Renegade fan and am loving the idea of another completely different take on the series as an FPS. I ran across this video. It was discussed weeks ago around the community. It is still unknown if it was for the FPS or rather just for C&C 3 itself. We donno yet.

 

Also this new C&C FPS will NOT be Renegade 2. Don't get your hopes up, because it IS not going to be.

well one new thing being brought to the genre is an amorphic gun (new?)...

 

also, there will be some sort of titan walkers that can be used or commanded or w.e....so those should be interesting...yet not new (bf2142)

I mean for anyone expecting Renegade style of play, the bases, the diversity, how you win, you will not get it out of this. So don't get all jolly thinking this is Renegade 2.

I agree, this new C&C FPS will not be Renegade 2. That game was killed off before it really got started a few years ago.

 

I think EA will make sure that this game is never associated with Renegade at all.

lol.. Seems I'm a little slow on the news uptake today.

 

A new C&C FPS? Sounds interesting. No doubt they will have to put some effort into this one, as there are a heck of a lot of good FPS games already out on the market, and they can't just rely on that C&C name to pull them through on this one.

By the time this game hits retail the FPS market will be very different. Hyped up games like Halo 3 and Crysis will be a distant memory.
