Possible RA3 Uprising Box Art?

Recommended Posts

Check out this possible first look at the box art for Red Alert 3: Uprising. As we all know Red Alert 3: Uprising is going to be released as a downloadable version in March, but EALA haven't ruled out a retail release further down the track. Its only a small image for now.

I was of the impression that Yuriko was quite young, but on that art, she looks much older than a schoolgirl.

I think she looks better in that picture. The whole school girl thing is still very wrong imo.

EA never releases something without making sure that the girls' boobs are properly sized. ;)

Ric Flair on the right? Strange.

But, since I'm a Westwood traditionalist, the classic "Soldier's Head" still remains the best. But for today's case, at least that cover is WAY BETTER than the RA3 Soviet one, just got tired with the background symmetrical look as well as the unnecessary empty black areas underneath Natasha. Just hate that!

As for this cover, look as good as the RA3 Allied cover one. But all I can say is not bad, but I rather take a look for a higher resolution one so I can study the background, hopefully is rather something else other than the Soviet fortress one and to both left & right, hopefully better NOT be symmetrical. Symmetrical is just pathetic just like the good old lazy "copy & paste". Speaking of that, I better expect this boxart to be a separate artwork just like Westwood did with their boxarts, NO CONCEPT ARTS to paste in, I'm sure I'm not the only one will not tolerate the excuses of "Copying & Pasting" since the Soviet cover one (Including the past C&C 3 TW & KW), which is pretty very very obvious of what are those things pasted in to create as a so called "boxart".

It could end up being simply place holder art so I would read to much into it guys.

I don't really know why, but Ric Flair on the cover just looks lame in my opinion.

I doubt that's actually the boxart, though. It looks somewhat unfinished.

The first impression with that Yuriko artwork was awesome, since this campaign does contain a major part of her story. Then as I look around it was terrible. I don't get it. On the right I see a blue old man carrying a toy gun in a weird fashion? wth is that? As I look left a soviet armor trooper with gasoline spray... wait another variant of the desolator?

I suggest replacing that old hag with a cryo legionnaire, and replacing the mobile gasoline sprayer with some decent new soviet troop. And keep these extras smaller.

I think the background could have a little more details on the upper areas. Maybe a hint of multiple silly giant floating heads? (the same manner RA3 boxart done with kirovs)

I appreciate your point of view on this one, Malevolence, adding more stuff is nice like the Giga Fortress over the Soviet Kirovs, but I rather not see the suggested Giga Fortress design to be placed in as symmetry, which is a very bad move. And putting in the concept art of it is even worse! I prefer a different drawing of the Giga Fortress to be drawn in JUST FOR ONLY the boxart. As a Westwood traditionalist, boxarts WILL ALWAYS remain as SEPARATE artworks! NOT including any concept artworks to be used from copying & pasting.

The Allied cover is much better than the original Soviet one with the combinations of the Apollos & Vindicators are much better to the touch, which no longer registered as symmetrical, in that way, it is nearly 10 times much better than the original Soviet one.

I like it quite much except of Ric Flair's somewhat displaced appereance on it.

I just don't see that she is *that* well endowed to get all this attention...

She seems quite reasonable and not even worth mentioning.

Now her ridiculous ponytail babbles on the other hand...

For pete's sake. It's just a cartoonish drawing of Yuriko. You guys are sure hilarious.

"Oh Yuriko's boobs are too big!"

"Her skirt is too long"

"Her face look old for a teenager"

"She looks too old for a schoolgirl"

"The ponytails look ridiculous"

Seriously, what the hell.

Seriously, what the hell.

If this is nothing more than a picture someone slapped together, so be it, it is irrelevant.

If this is to be a box art, it should appeal to a higher standard, for a box art will live on for years to come as a symbol of the game.

Since this was presented to us as a possible box art, we will respond accordingly.

Personally I find the Yuriko's picture pretty decent, it fits the RA3 Natasha/Tanya boxarts. The only problem with this boxart are the details around and behind Yuriko, which I mentioned earlier.
