Sonic 296 Posted February 10, 2010 Lots of people are eagerly awaiting the next episode of BattleCast Primetime. It was meant to have come out earlier this week but unfortunately it has been delayed until this Friday in the USA, which means a Saturday for the likes us down under in New Zealand. Anyway, APOC has explained the situation below. Hey guys, I know I promised you BCPT yesterday and failed to deliver, my apologies. Here is why BCPT is currently delayed. In my APOC's Corner, there is a special community promotion I am running that was meant to go live on our website last Friday to coincide with BattleCast Primetime. We have some emergency website technical issues we need to resolve and run a load test as well. We are working to make this happen asap this week, and if all goes as planned, that promotion + BCPT will go live this Friday. I didn't want to put the episode out with something promised that doesn't exist at the location it is supposed to yet =) Last minute failure after the edit and audio were completed, waddya gonna do? =p I am pretty certain the trade-off will be worth the extra wait. I will keep you posted. Thanks for understanding and apologies for my epic fail. -APOC So with a bit patience the new episode of BattleCast Primetime will be here later this week. Luk3us 63 Posted February 10, 2010 lol, I didn't know a new BCPT was coming out. They didn't hype it up enough! Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted February 10, 2010 They are all out for blood on the Official C&C Forums about the BCPT delay. Everyone there bitching and moaning about what is just essentially just another video If you have to spend every waking hour on the Official C&C Site and Forums waiting for BCPT.... damn, get a life.... go out get some air and sunshine! Once it is released I'm sure everyone will criticise it in their usual negative way because it's not up to their elitist high standards. Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted February 10, 2010 They really are very negative on the forums. Surprising really, but they take a lot for granted. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted February 10, 2010 They really are very negative on the forums. Surprising really, but they take a lot for granted. I hope that is sarcasm, because there is nothing surprising about the crazies on the official forums being negative and taking at lot for granted... Share this post Link to post
recover 2 Posted February 10, 2010 At least there wasn't any hype. Personally I would just like to know when new BCPT episodes are released, without any trailer etc., since I know there will be one released eventually and I don't have a need to watch it on day one. Anyway, that's just me. Share this post Link to post
Malevolence 6 Posted February 10, 2010 At this point of time I don't really bother. As long as they produce a good solid show, I'm fine with it whether they are going to delay it or not. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted February 10, 2010 They really are very negative on the forums. Spare a thought for APOC and moderating team there. Anyway. BCPT will be released when its ready to be. EALA have not hyped up anything related to this BCPT, no previews, no quick trailers. Some last minute technical issues have delayed the release, not a big deal in my book. Luk3us 63 Posted February 10, 2010 You know what they need to spice the interest in BCPT? At least one hot chick. That and Raj needs a new partner in crime, preferably Kane. I hope that is sarcasm, because there is nothing surprising about the crazies on the official forums being negative and taking at lot for granted... Which is strange, because usually official boards are full of fanbois who spout nothing but praise about their favourite game. I know the EA forums have always had a reputation for attracting crazies, but you'd think there would be more fanbois there than haters... Hmm... Share this post Link to post

Mighty BOB! 5 Posted February 10, 2010 I usually see a ratio of about 6:1 of haters vs fanbois. I wonder what'll be in "this week's" BCPT. Share this post Link to post
Aaron Kaufman 0 Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) Assuming BattleCast Primetime comes out this week, here is what you can expect, quoted from our newsletter which is meant to go out this Friday as well.... In our latest episode of BattleCast Primetime, we break deeper ground on the C&C Motion Comic, get an inside look at "The Making of the Music" of Command & Conquer 4 featuring interviews with the composers, as well as a fan requested "Birth of Unit" for the GDI Kodiak. The BattleCast 10, APOC's Corner, Raj Joshi and more, and sorry...no hot chicks in this one. In my corner, I will have a long-time-coming gift for the community. I think everyone will respect it, whether they want it or not =) -APOC Edited February 10, 2010 by EA Apoc Share this post Link to post
Wee_Ooh 0 Posted February 10, 2010 Sounds exciting. I think I've mentioned this before, but EALA is probably the most interactive team of developers ever. I've never seen a developer take their community so seriously. It's kind of cool knowing that every post I make could potentially alter the future of C&C. Share this post Link to post

Wee_Ooh 0 Posted February 10, 2010 Are you sure about that? Think again! Do you know any other developers that change their game purely based on fan input? None that I can think of would have changed the model for their engineer just because the fans thought it looked stupid. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted February 10, 2010 You may be right, Wee_Ooh, but I can't think of any other companies that would have put the something looking like original engineer model in their games in the first place. Except maybe the Worms series... Share this post Link to post

Except maybe the Worms series... I agree. There is some companies which do listen their fans, I will give you one, maybe too obvious example: think Blizzard. The only person at EALA for which I know for sure that listen the fans is Apoc, unfortunately that is not a case with the most of the EALA dev team. Doctor Destiny 41 Posted February 10, 2010 go out get some air and sunshine! You're talking about hardcore C&C fans. You realize that, right? Though... I suppose it applies to fanboys of any franchise. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted February 10, 2010 You're talking about hardcore headed C&C fans. There you go. Not all hardcore fans are the narcissistic, obsessive, impatient whiners you can find in abundance on the official forums. Share this post Link to post

The C&C Motion Comic will most likely be the worst C&CTV series of all. Share this post Link to post
