Sheepe 0 Posted June 28, 2004 Would it be possible to transfer skirmish mode from RA1 to C&C? They use the same engine, I do believe, so I think it might be kinda easier than writeing it from scratch... -Sheepe Share this post Link to post
BigPoppaBear 0 Posted June 29, 2004 I think the "Covert Ops" are as close as you're going to get. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted June 29, 2004 Well Tiberian Dawn doesn't have a Skirmish Mode. It's possible to make new missions, but I'll be damned if I know how to do it. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted July 7, 2004 Can't be that much different from making maps in the Red ALert Editor, I'm sure there was a program made when C&C came out to create missions... It may take a bit of hunting down, if the program still exists that is. If not then I'm sure you can create the map in the Red Alert map editor, then do something to the editor to add advanced setting... unfortunately the lack of fan-sites around at the time of Red Alert was limited to a few that no longer exist. Sites included at the time: The Vortex, The Chronosphere, Temple of Nod, GDIHQ, and even Sonic own original Red Alert site.... I have a CD disk somewhere with these sites on them saved in their state as of March 1997, i'll see if I can dig it out of my old CD-R's and find the files in question (if they are on there)... they may come in handy for putting on CNCNZ.com if I can  Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted July 7, 2004 We don't have much stuff like that for the classic C&C games. Only these.... C&C Gold Editor: http://www.cncnz.com/files/tibdawn/utils.shtml#ccgedit RedEdit 98 Professional: http://www.cncnz.com/files/redalert/utils.shtml#re98 Red Alert-MiXer 5.1 OR3: http://www.cncnz.com/files/redalert/utils.shtml#ramix Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted August 31, 2004 Whoa. TibEd should be in that section too. And maybe even RA-Edit (a bit of nostalgia on my part). http://www.tibed.net and http://skyscraper.fortunecity.com/bitmap/6 Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted September 1, 2004 We do have TibEd mirror on CNCNZ.com Koen. I put in on the All C&C page since it can be used for more than one game. http://www.cncnz.com/files/all_cnc/utils.shtml Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted September 1, 2004 Ah right. Something on topic now: Have you looked at FreeCNC? They are doing a remake of the original C&C and RA1... They wanted to do online stuff as well, but I don't think they have finished it (yet). You can find the site here: http://freecnc-sf.holarse.net/ Share this post Link to post

There are quite a few C&C1 map editing tools available, like CCMAP or XCC Editor. More C&C mission making tools/manuals are avaliable at the TD section of the C&C Filezone... which is mostly just my C&C1 file collection put online Share this post Link to post

Malebranche 0 Posted November 17, 2004 The biggest site about RA: http://ra.afraid.org/ i found it some time ago and I think it's a good site. Share this post Link to post
Publix666 0 Posted November 19, 2004 yeah i have that TS mod -Return of the Dawn and play it non stop.....maybe the ppl wo made that mod should think about seeing if the could remake the missions from TD and put everything in a patch...like add a campaighn to RotD..that would be pretty awesome Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 102 Posted November 21, 2004 ROTD version 2.3 was just released too ...technically I'm kind of one of the people working on it too... I made the chainlink fence and some of the EVA voices... The biggest site about RA:http://ra.afraid.org/ i found it some time ago and I think it's a good site. What does that have to do with the topic? Red Alert TechCenter² is an excellent site too, and unlike the RA Archive it's still updated. Share this post Link to post
Malebranche 0 Posted November 22, 2004 Sorry, I forgot about Techcenter. But Archives still has one of the biggest amounts of maps, mods, and utilities to RA. I posted this to point a place where you could find editors to classic RA. Share this post Link to post
