Dreams-last night, i was climbing a huge cliff face, with a storm over it, but the entire time i was climbing, i felt like i was eating in a cafe. Strange, no ?

Anywho... I haven't actually had a dream that I can remember in quite some time. I can't even remember the last one that I even had.

Last dream I had was about a week ago. Though it was really weird, like most dreams. And like most dreams you can't remember anything about them like 10 minutes after you get up..

Naturally because they take place in the subconscious part of the brain and do not affect any of the brain you use while you're awake. You won't remember unless you make a huge effort to remember them. Some people say that there's a whole part of the subconscious brain dedicated to sleeping, which is interesting since that explains why it's difficult to remember dreams. The only way people tend to remember dreams is if they are awoken unexpectedly... dunno why but the brain is a strange thing. We know less about it then we do about Space.

 

The only dreams I can remember are the falling dreams. I haven't had one of those for a good 5 or 6 years now, but they are strange and the most common.

 

There was one other one where I found myself underwater with no breathing aparatus and I couldn't swim to the surface because there was a ceiling and for some strange reason Gravity was holding me down.... But there were Sonic the Hedgehog style air vents coming from the ground... I eventually woke up gasping for breath.... Looks like I actually stopped breathing in my sleep!

 

Sleepwalking is also related to dreaming. I used to have many a midnight raid in the fridge thinking I was dreaming it... but I wasn't

I have various dreams in the night, but usually can't remember them except a few. Here's one: about 4 years ago I had a dream in which I woke up at school in my pajamas!

That pajamas dream..... for some reason i dreamt was at the far end of the field when i had that one.... :?

 

Meh, i have 1 real bad nasty SOB of a nightmare. I aint had it for ages but i scares the **** outa me.

 

Its like im dreaming of this 'Underground Train line' you have 2 types of train the small, grubby, slow but cheerful trains (bit like those train things they have in westerns where the 2 blokes have to push and pull on the lever to make it move) and the big, fast, posh trains with no sense of belonging.

 

The smaller trains stop frequintly and at small little stops like the trains. The posh trains only go to ultra clean big stops.

 

The big trains when they go along just smash the little trains to bits for some reason and dont stop...... :? like i say its really nasty while im havin it.... god knows wtf its about...

Last night (or was it 2 nights ago...hmm.) I dreamt that I was in an ubberh ard math class that involved the color purple, it was taught by a socerress, and we were in a basement with neon lighting. Very strange...

 

BTW Im taking Psychology next year, so if anyone wants to learn whats that all about...(the subconcious) perhaps I'll post a few things here and there. :wink:

If i went to your school, then yes, you would be correct. However I live a whole timezone away and go to a Catholic Private school, so our curriculum is somewhat different. At about November of next year we should be getting into study of the subconsious. It should prove to be very interesting.

this usually means you haven't slept well

 

and i took psych 101 and sleeping is crazy...you have stages(REM-rapid eye movement)..one is where your brainwaves mimic that of when you are awake...

 

the whole point of sleeping is to re-sensitize your neurons...like any drug that is taken..there is a tolerance...so you goto sleep so your body can rebuild faster and refresh it's nerves sensitivity...i think the chemical that the body is re-sensitizing itself to is norepinephrine...GABA is a chemical that the body uses to help "knock you out"....and when you drink alcohol you stimulate your GABA receptors..

UMM my last dream was really cool but i dont remeber it...

 

one big dream i had once i was with my close friends but it was in the place that we used to hang out years ago...we all looked younger..and then we got onto a Halo drop ship..and went to hang out somewhere else.........earlier in the dream i was target practicing with a gold old fashioned rifle....

Iv got drunk a few times in my dreams. Its weird cause you wake up with no hangover and for a minute or so it dosnt make sence until you realise that you never really got drunk
