Guest MadBadger Posted April 23, 2006 ..and (uh oh) maybe some good hiphop instrumentals... Oh sweet mother of God... That would sound the death knell of the C&C franchise. Seriously, hiphop in a C&C game? PUT DOWN THE JOINT!!! Come with me - P diddy & Jimmy Page (inst version) -Nod- Drums of death - Dj Shadow (already inst) -Scrin- Touch it - Busta (inst Version) -GDI- Quiet storm - Mobb Deep (inst version) ---- this one would own! -Nod- Affirmative Action - Nas, AZ, Cormega & Foxy brown (inst version but serious ownage) -Nod- Get crunk Musik - Jim Jones (inst version) -Nod/Scrin- Bin Laden (GL Mix) - Immortal Teqnique -GDI- All of those would be perfect for a CnC game, Don't rubish Hip Hop ever. P.S. £50 you don't bother trying to get these tracks and listen to them (to Bware) Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted April 23, 2006 Of COURSE I won't waste my time by looking those up. By the way, that "Come With Me" song you mentioned... yeah, that's actually Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. The ONLY decent sounding hip hop crap is the stuff they've stolen from rock  But hey, they contribute too! I mean... all that talking behind the actual music... now THAT takes some talent! Ugh. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted April 23, 2006 we arent going to start this again... and what i meant was all the music being new...including the rock and hiphop/techno mixes Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 24, 2006 ..and (uh oh) maybe some good hiphop instrumentals... Oh sweet mother of God... That would sound the death knell of the C&C franchise. Seriously, hiphop in a C&C game? PUT DOWN THE JOINT!!! Hiphop in C&C isn't a joint talking, that's a ****ing crack pipe. The day C&C has hiphop is the day I stop playing it. I hope that never happens cause I really like C&C. Of COURSE I won't waste my time by looking those up. By the way, that "Come With Me" song you mentioned... yeah, that's actually Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Talk about a stupendous way to ruin a great song. I hope P. Diddy dies in a fire for ruining that song. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 24, 2006 Um guys, there are two ways to do C&C Music. Frank Klepacki, or Frank Klepacki. Now if you cant decide between the two, then you'll just have to let Frank Klepacki do the music. I'm sure he would be more than willing to wipe the floor with all of those lame excuses posted up earlier. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted April 24, 2006 Frank would never put foot inside an EA building again, same goes for a lot of the Petroglyph guys who worked at EA. We don't know the reasons why, but they had their reasons for leaving, and they never did it on good terms. But, things have changed alot since at EA. I've seen it first hand and can see the employees are alot happier these days. Share this post Link to post
Rusty Le Cyborg 0 Posted April 24, 2006 Well, if the music is not really up to "C and C standards" I'm sure some enterprising individual <cough> will make a pack of classic Frank music for it Cheers for now Share this post Link to post

That's what we need for TW. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted April 24, 2006 Very true. We need to have something similar.... it can and probably should be pretty tweaked and "newer," but it should capture that same soulful ambience that TS had. Share this post Link to post

Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 24, 2006 Jared Mendelson ? I liked the TS music. BWare said it almost perfectly (no one is perfect after all) but very very true. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted April 25, 2006 i agree but i'd like to stress that id MUCH rather hear a frank style similar to cncTD and cncRA...and if that fit the game..then we know the game is good.... the TS music was too ambient...didnt incite anything in me...almost like there was NO music... BWare 0 Posted April 25, 2006 the TS music was too ambient...didnt incite anything in me...almost like there was NO music... Well sure, they weren't rapping, but you must have enjoyed it just a little bit! I for one absolutely loved the music of TS. I thought it was genius. It was flawless ambience music, and just because it doesn't make the greatest tracks for listening in your car doesn't mean it isn't phenomenal background music for an RTS  Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted April 25, 2006 once again either i didnt make it clear or you misinterpret... the music was great...but its not what i'd like to see in a war game...ambient to the environment..but not the conflict Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 25, 2006 Jared Mendelson ? Yeah, he produced the soundtrack for TS. It's a common misconception that Kelepacki made the Tiberian Sun soundtrack. the music was great...but its not what i'd like to see in a war game...ambient to the environment..but not the conflict I thought the music captured the game perfectly. The tracks fit with the futuristic conflict theme and, of course, the dark atmosphere that was present. I hope TW has the same type of atmosphere... dark and brooding would be perfect. BWare 0 Posted April 26, 2006 No, I think they should go with the campy, goofy feel or RA2. OMG, teh Tiberium! Itz killing us all!!! LOLZ!!!!111 ...then add a goofy Russian accent, and you've got a winner  Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted April 26, 2006 if they make this game goofy...OMG...its clobberin time! Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 26, 2006 No, I think they should go with the campy, goofy feel or RA2. I hope that's a joke. I really do. I loved the Tiberian saga for its seriousness. It adds something special to the series that most franchises seem to lack. The again, RA2 was the goofiest C&C of all but dammit, that made the game! Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted April 26, 2006 Dude, I hope you know me better than to think that was serious I for one was annoyed by the goofiness of RA2. I mean, go watch the cutscenes from RA and compare. They nearly squandered the whole storyline with that. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted April 26, 2006 yea i had a feeling you weren't serious...but just in case lol Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted April 26, 2006 Haha, if I EVER do say something like that- and I'm NOT kidding- the please put a bullet in my head. Well, two to be safe. And quickly. Yeah, TW MUST be solemn and reverant. Seriously... it's a sacred thing  Share this post Link to post
