The New CNCNZ.com Forums Have Arrived

As you can see our new forums have arrived. Originally they were not going to be installed until February but I decided to make the switch now, mostly due to other features we have coming up on CNCNZ.com soon. Our new forums offer many new features, advanced member tools, advanced forum staff tools and more. If your a previously registered member of the CNCNZ.com Forums please look around familiarise yourself with everything. You should be able to login with your username and password you used on the old forums. All topics and post data from our old phpBB2 forum have been converted but not user avatars, you will need to set them up again.

 

We are still tweaking settings and so forth so don't be surprised if you see things changing while your browsing the new forums. If you find some thing not working please post in here or contact one of the admins.

 

RSS Feed Note: The URL to our RSS news feed has changed. Please add http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?act=rssout&id=1 to your newsreader program or service.

Just noticed. Its very grey, but im accustomed to the IP boards, everyone uses them. I liked the old forum equally, though.

Regarding the forum skin. IBP themes and skins system is different to phpBB. So basically any style from the old forums needs to be rebuilt. It will change ASAP but I'd rather get everything fine tuned with all the settings and ensure there are no problems before I get into the skinning part. The default skin for now is IPBoard Pro, there is another one called IPB Classic Blue, again its mostly white based.

um how do you change the skin? and they look cool, just like the APB forums, I like the wuickedit feature, it's pretty awesome

A nice heads up for the RSS subscribers would be to put a last entry to the old RSS feed, encouraging people to change to the new RSS feed.

I can't do that because the new forums have taken over on the http://forums.cncnz.com sub domain.

 

I've enable a lot of the setting that people have asked for that couldn't be done with the phpBB forums. Such as the Fast Reply option. If you don't see it My Controls >> Board Settings >> Posting Settings >> then under Open Fast Reply automatically when available? select Yes.

Thats the thing, you see: Every forum im registered to keeps me logged in, but i always had issues with the Petro forum. And now here. In the old forum the browser always remembered me, as do most of the IPB forums im writing in.

 

At least now i had a good reason to change my avi and link my first sig ever! :lol:
