FIGHT THE ENTIRE THIRD TIBERIUM WAR IN THE COMMAND & CONQUER 3 LIMITED COLLECTION

If you are one of the few who missed out on the bestselling real-time strategy game of 2007, you now have an all-new way to experience the ENTIRE Third Tiberium war.

On March 24th, EA will be releasing The Command & Conquer 3 Limited Collection, featuring 2007's best-selling* RTS Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and the highly anticipated expansion pack Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath, for $49.99 in North America for the PC. Already a tremendous strategy gaming value, all gamers who purchase the Limited Collection will also gain access to the hottest beta test of the year for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3!

Together, the Limited Collection includes the combined 45 single player missions that make up two decades of Tiberium lore, from the rise of Kane and the rebirth of Nod all the way through the Third Tiberium War and beyond. Also included are over two hours of the franchise’s trademark high-definition, live-action movies starring Natasha Henstridge, Josh Holloway, Michael Ironside, Billy Dee Williams and of course Joe Kucan as Kane.

After a successful launch in March of 2007, C&C 3 Tiberium Wars continues to receive industry-wide accolades, including recent recognition as being 2007’s Best Strategy Game of the Year from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and 1Up. Also available on March 24th, C&C 3: Kane’s Wrath continues Tiberium Wars’ deep storyline, with an unprecedented campaign that spans two decades. The expansion pack also gives players plenty of new toys to play with, including six all new subfactions, game-changing epic units and a special bonus Global Conquest Mode.

Look for the Command & Conquer 3 Limited Collection to be available in stores when Kane's Wrath releases on the 26th of March, in the USA of course.

YAAAA another brilliant money grubbing exercise!!

Pah. I want patch 1.1 already. Go waste money on that instead. :)

You don't have to be anti-EA all the time

Unlike the C&C Saga pack this pack is a good move by EA. Again it presents good value for money. You need C&C 3 installed to play Kane's Wrath so people who don't have C&C 3 yet can get both at the same time.

Wasn't Kane's Wrath supposed to be standalone?

Remember something around those lines from BCPT.

I believe you are referring to the Xbox360 version of the game!

C'mon Luk3us we got patch 1.1 already!!!

;p

But is this a worldwide release or just US? I guess I'm interested because of my recently scratched C&C3 disc...

At some point they will add KW to the decade/C&C3 pack they had earlier... then they will add RA3... then they will add Tiberium... lots of collections to come. I wonder if they'll come up with some more over-hyped collection names - or they will just start with EASports naming conventions and say C&C2008 collection!

(Thinking out loud...I already have KW pre-ordered, and just wondering which is going to be the best way forward... this pack or try and dig out the previously decade/C&C pack... etc)

Should be Worldwide unless specified.

I believe EA should change the discs they publish on to better quality versions... also the game cases actually...

A ) The discs really aren't that durable and don't take that much to scratch/break/crack

B ) Leading on from Point A) The new style cases EA use (In Europe at least) are too tight around the inner ring of the disc. So getting it out is a knightmare. Such pressure on the disc when trying to get out the C&C disc causes damage. Even leaving it in the case causes pressurised stress in the disc itself!

I say that because I took my C&C 3 disc out recently for the first time in about 6 months (it came out quite easily actually) and the inner ring had a number of small cracks running around it. To my horror/joy/confusion (delete as applicable), one crack was huge and ran straight through from centre to the outside edge... and we're not talking hairline... we are talking big major, "This disc is ******!!" sort of crack!

Funny really... I look after my games discs really well, and I make sure they're in top condition before I put them away. But all my EA published discs look like I've taken them to hell and back.

I know what you mean. My C&C disks have been breaking like that since the RA2 days, lucky for me my allied disk remained fine so I could still play!

I'll probably buy this and give extra C&C3 to a friend or something.

[anti-EA]

Maybe they do it intentionally so that you have to go out and buy a new copy! z0mg..

You dont have to buy a new copy- In the time of warranty (2 years after purchase), theyll send you a new disk free of charge. So theyre not that greedy asswipe corporation after all people are led to believe ;)

^re: warranty

I will have to look into this... but the scratch is entirely my fault I will admit.

Indeed, if you still have proof of the date of purchase within 12 months (in UK). Otherwise you have to pay 25% of the original purchase price to claim a new disc off EA. And to be honest, with the amount I've played C&C 3, it's hardly worth paying for more. Kane's wrath is out at the end of the month (Yes I'm giving it a chance - Don't sound too shocked!) so everyone's going to be using that from then on.

Personally I dont care if it includes both games or not. All i have 2 ask is this:

Is the C&C RA3 BETA available for both the stand alone and the pack, or just one or the other?

(This is a noob question) Is the RA3 BETA a single demo or online like UAW?

It'll be online. That's where all the balancing and fine tuning can be done. At least then EA should be able to focus on stronger patch management come release. That's something you just can't do as effectively with Single player.

Oh and Beta opportunity will be for both this pack and the expansion as well....

Of course like me Saracen - you'll be screwed when you uninstall or reformat the comp (still need C&C3 for KW).

Thanks Saracen.

Ive been silently debating whether I should go for the Collectors pack (with the cool lookin box. lol ) or just get KW.

I'm shocked you'd think we would be shocked. I never doubted your ability to smell a good game when its coming. :P

Lol, that's how I keep my discs. Then after a while I'm beginning to think, this is NOT good for my discs. So I put 'em back, and after a few hours the pile of caseless discs starts growing again.
