C&C's Superweapon's & Reality

Recommended Posts

OK something interesting here...

It's amazing how much closer to reality C&C is than we care to admit. I'm talking more of the first 2 C&C's (Tiberian Dawn & Red Alert)...

In Tiberian Dawn we had the Ion Cannon which was influenced by the "Stratetgic Defense Initiative", although it never did happen.. Nuke's here are not an issue as far as Nod's weapon is concerned as we know about that

Then there's in Red Alert... Look at this baby... a real Tesla coil

TESLACOIL-ANIM.gif

Beautiful isn't it...

What I wanna know is, did experiments take place during the cold war to try and create the Chronosphere?

Cos unless I'm mistaken didn't they do it with a ship, only to have the limited 13 onboard crew become part of the ships molecular structure?? It must be true because Westwood drew their inspirations from everywhere from real life to Star Wars (Mammoth Mark 2) and Star Trek the Movie 2 (Genesis Project)....

Plus are there any other REAL experiments that have made it into C&C... Prism Laser technology is another and that's commonly used.

theres tons of rumors about goverment tests.

That tesla coil isn't targetable

Those tesla coils are boring. I've seen heaps of em'. The science departements from the local univ, at career expos round here like to show off with em'. They're not really that impressive.

Yeah they made some movie bout it.

The nukes are too weak. Do you really think a real nuke would simply damage stuff around it? Hell no. It'd blow that sh*t away.

Nukes used in C&C are tactical small versions, but that'll change in World Rebellion...muhahahaha

Its mainly just to keep the game playable, else a single nuke and you've won, everybody would just build defenses and nuke silos

They do in Generals anyway.. enough defense to withstand an attack and 9 or so Chinese Missile silos with a back up crew of a large amount of those mammoth tank thingies which I've fogotton the name of because I haven't played Generals Since May

i wouldnt be surprised if they were workin on an ion cannon they are already workin on a star wars missile defense system tho its gonna be used for defence who's to say that cant turn it in2 a weapon

The U.S.S Philiadelpha (I can't spell it) Was The Ship I'm Pretty Sure..........The U.S. Government released documents about a exiperiment with a ship using heavy duty magnets expected to have a "Chronosphere" effect to sneak into Soviet waters to launch nuclear weapons if neccessary.......... it is believed that the men on the ship did not live during the experiment because "The Men Did Stick The Deck, Hull, or anything they were holding on to"........ but the U.S. Government released nothing on that and declined commenting "No one was injured during the testing in anyway." So it still really remains a mystery.

I heard alot about the Philidelphia Experiment as well..mind you, it would be cool to have your own chrono device/chronosphere. I would use it to travel around the world :D No jetlag!  TESLA COIL! Woot! Man that looks dangerous. I wonder if they'll be able to programme it someday? Would be something to see :D *is hoping*.

I dont think the tesla coil will be a effective weapon due to the large amout of energy require to power plus the problems of directing the electricity to a target, but in the future their could be a tesla grenage that could be used as a one off that send a burst of electricity that kills infantry near the area where it lands.

As for the chronosphere the USAF are conduction test on the validilty of teleportation these included wormhole teleportation, vacum teleportation and more interesting Psychic teleportation (This must mean the CIA Stargate project in the 80's was a success). Even Yuri like mind controled techinques are being tested by numerous governments as shown in the Uk channel 4 documentary "The men who stare at goats" where US special forces were train to kill goats with their minds along.

The rail gun in Tiberian sun is being develeped by the US and Uk and is being tested in scotland right now. Its being designed for the USN and the RN for use on destroyers and will see the return of battleships but with pinpoint accuracys and ranges of over 500+ miles. In the end it will replace cruise missles due to the rate of fire and the cost of using it as itll cost between a few hundred dollars to a couple a thousand intead of the million plus for crusse missles.

kinda scary when you find out just the level of technology there is out there. does anyone else feel really sorry for the terrorists right about now? lolol i remember seeing a documentory about particle and ion cannons... based on what the documentory said and various science text books i've discovered it's actually possible and very easy to make a working ion cannon. and if you're good with welding and DIY equipment it's more then possible to make your own (lord knows i'd never try. from the theory i worked out i could make a rifle sized one but it would weigh a lot and if i didn't fix the back properly it might become a double ended ion cannon c.C)

How can you even say that? They deserve no sympathy.

I can see it now... GM makes a personal, portable Ion cannon...

Who are they? Who the Gorvernment say? As most Americans still think sadam was part of sept 11th.

I dont know if I would want a portable Ion cannon just think about the recoil

You better start benching some weight if ya want one

BTW some versions of the Rail Gun A.K.A. Gauss cannon and coil guns would have ranges closer to 1000 miles. So the terrorists will go from saying "Muhahahaha" to "Oh stit!"

:twisted::twisted::twisted:

Then who'll be in charge, eh?

Yeah providing you can tell who's a terrorist from that range...

Fighting terrorists is not like fighting an army, they don't rely on technology and they don't have terroritory or any big wopping forces or bases, big ass weapons are useless against them.

What you need is intelligence and assault technique, a recently new technology called HAARP can help as its the ultimate X-Ray machine, it can detect tunnels, subs, missile silos anything you name it, not only that but HAARP is tesla technology and it also can manipulate weather, cause earthquakes and have some interesting effects on human brain waves.

Heck, its wierder then the RA2 superweapons!

Haha, the cool thing is, out of most people here, I'll probably be the only one to weild a portable Ion cannon, as I'm actually going in for a military career. However I can't see NZ having those babies anytime soon. Here's hoping that I'm wrong :P Bloody hell Waraddict, I think I'll just stick to plain old nukes, they're simple enough to understand  :P

You know the UN will never approve of such weapons...

Like we care, like I said:

Then who'll be in charge, eh?
