Played a little Halo:CE yesterday. The updated graphics remind me of the phrase... mutton dressed up as lamb. Still great soundtrack. Still can't drive a warthog.

Hi,

"Found" Blitzkrieg2 Anthology on STEAM and bought it for US$ 3,00.

In the beginning I was loosing and winning some battles without knowing what was really going on, but now things are making sense.

From 2005, yet a cool game with 3D units and great effects. The Anthology comes with 2 expansions.

I have found some features in this game I was looking for. I thought an RTS without base building or resource collecting would be boring, but I was wrong.

Interesting thing is they are developing Blitzkrieg3 and it looks promising.

Dragon Age Inqusition

Great game so far, but there are some really stupid design decisions in there that piss me off. Oh and their tactical camera is horrifying, obviously it was meant for a gamepad and they were just too lazy to change it for PC. :(

Some more Advanced Warfare. Still awesome. Also played some Modern Warfare 2 with some buds. Way, way too much fun.

Finally playing Dragon Age: Origins. Too bad that former "On The House" version didn't come with 9 DLC add-ons, which all have to be manually downloaded with a small cost. I thought the game itself was very long enough to play even without DLC. That 9 DLC released several years ago indicated that Dragon Age Origins development was incomplete after the game was originally released and patches should have made some of them free to get.

What's interesting about that RPG game (unlike most RPG games) is that like some action games, quick save/load, auto save/load and manual save/load are supported, and additionally the game itself plays similarly to a hybrid mix of Deus Ex and Diablo but in a medieval setting. The camera settings are similar to Company of Heroes. More interestingly there are two ways to move a character, either right-click for a move command or manually move the character with the keyboard.... something that Diablo III didn't have when I first played it.

Yes Origins had a lot of DLC, though there were only a few that were interesting. There was also Awakening which is an old school expansion pack.

I really liked Origins, according to Xfire, I put in about 400 hours into that one... Yeah.... :o

Oh and don't forget the mods. There are a **** ton of mods for DA:O.

Lots of DLC != incomplete game.

Definitely true. However, in the case of Dragon Age: Origins, there was some content intended to be in its initial release (such as Shale), that was held back to meet the deadline and later added to DLC. While meeting deadlines could be argued a fair excuse, it still fits the definition of incomplete in my book.

Intended to be included and vital to the story are different things. If the choice comes down to not having the content at all or having it be DLC, I'll take having the DLC.

Just finished Dragon Age Inquistion... And it only took a hundred and eight hours... :o

Yeah, I'm not replaying this game. Too long, but fun if not a bit broken in parts.

I like playing a game that's long enough to keep gameplay running especially for any RPG game, not a short fast-paced game like Call of Duty or Battlefield.

I think twenty to twenty five hours is a good number for a single player experience, including all the bloat.

Grey Goo!

It feels good to play an RTS again.

I like Grey Goo. Some missions (like the last one) are hard as nails, too :D

The last mission was kinda broken imo, since they gave you way to many units to start with.

Overall it was a good campaign though. :)

-Hearthstone: I have been playing this game since beta and have rarely gotten bored with it, great game - very accessible while also maintaining depth.

-Dragon Age: Inquisition: It is okay, beautiful worlds, characters and storytelling but at times monotonous gameplay.

Not entirely sure what to look forward to this year, I would like to play Bloodbourne but I'm not buying a PS4 just for that game. I didn't play Demon's Souls on release and I guess this will be happening again, which is a pity because From Software are one of my favourite developers.

Lego Batman 3. Loving all the Doctor Who references I've found so far... and then the official DW Lego announcement.
