  1. The "Camp Corner" article series from DVD Player continues with his latest submission. Camp Corner 2 - Red Alert, Too! takes a close up look at the cut-scenes in Red Alert 2. Where the camp factor was really poured on strong. Here's a sample. Click here to read the full article.
  2. Well then please send me a PM indicating what areas your interested in helping in and we will work from there.
  3. It's Thursday once again so it's time for another Throwback Thursday. Today we remember one of the critical scenes from Tiberian Sun. We had seen some dark and twisted themes appear in Command & Conquer games before, but nothing like this. Remember this was 1999 and times were changing in games and entertainment, as they were starting to push the boundaries in terms of what they could show, in the effort of story telling of course. The execution of the traitor Hassan by Anton Salvik was certainly an eye opening moment. The impact of it is made more memorable as a "resurrected" Kane watches from above, almost from a god like position. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
  4. These are rather cool to look at, lots of colour photos from the first 3 Star Wars movies. http://www.vintag.es/2015/04/100-rare-color-photos-of-behind-scenes.html
  5. Just a bit late in reporting this news. Late last week version 0.39.1 of the Twisted Insurrection mod for Tiberian Sun was released. Featuring a long list of changes and additions, some of the most notable changes are large alterations to the balance and functionality of a number of units in the game, mostly made based on the input from Twisted Insurrection fans and players. For a complete list of changes, check out the 0.39.1 changelog. The Twisted Insurrection Client has also received some improvements in this new release.... FinalTI now saves maps listed as Custom rather than Standard in the game mode dropbox Hyperlinks can now be clicked in chat sections Incorporated followed game icons to CnCNet lobby Added new game option: Disable Tech Units Fixed a bug that caused the tray icon to sometimes linger after closing Twisted Insurrection Added icons next to faction selection options Improved client handling when checking for Administrative rights You can download Twisted Insurrection 0.39.1 via the Twisted Insurrection client. Visit the official site for the standalone download and more details.
  6. Both C&C Generals and it's expansion pack, Zero Hour, have been included the latest Humble Origin Bundle. Also part of the bundle is Dragon Age: Origins, Peggle, Dead Space 2, Medal of Honor Allied Assault War Chest and more. Remember, with Humble Bundle you pay what you want. At retail, these games add up to $134. But you choose to what to pay. If you decide to pay more than the average to get all of those games you will also get Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, Dragon Age II, Bejeweled 3, and Mass Effect 2. Electronic Arts and Origin are forgoing the profits from this bundle, all of the proceeds that would ordinarily go to them are instead going to charity. So its a good cause. More details are available here.
  7. The very latest stable build of OpenRA has been released and its available for download now. A lot of the development has focused on the Dune 2000 mod, which contains the most visible changes. A new sidebar, Sandworms and Carryalls are the big new features, which should make any Dune 2000 player feel more at home. The other mods were not neglected, though. In Red Alert, the biggest new feature is the support of playable factions such as Russia, England, France, Ukraine and Germany. In both Red Alert and C&C, new single-player missions are available that will keep you occupied. Here is a list of changes that affect the game in general.... The server browser shows and allows joining games from any installed mod. It is now possible to disable the “short game” mode that was forced in the past. The player name and colour can now be set up in the settings dialog. When creating a server, the game informs the host about port forwarding issues. Left-click mouse orders have been markedly improved. Some missions now support difficulty levels. A huge number of smaller gameplay fixes and improvements, including: Friendly units blocking the exit of a production building will now move out of the way if needed. Units will no longer hunt cloaked units. The spy plane in Red Alert will no longer lure your anti-air capable units across the map. Planes will no longer collide with helicopters and push them out of the way. Your faction will not be revealed to enemies when you have selected a random faction in the lobby. In sell mode, the tooltip will now show the expected refund value for structures. Harvesters should now no longer block themselves at refineries, and also make use of all available refineries if the nearest ones are occupied. A similarly massive number of performance improvements have been made in this release. Many race conditions and crashes have been fixed across the board. Read the full changelog for more details on this release. Visit the OpenRA site for the download.
  8. In a quick post on their Facebook page, the C&C: Online team have posted a quick to guide to help those people who purchased C&C Generals and Zero Hour from the latest Humblebundle, get up and running to play online. You will still need a Revora forum account, of course (as explained on the website: http://cnc-online.net/). Fixed launchers: http://forums.cncnz.com/topic/19121-fixed-launchers-for-the-ultimate-collection/ GenTool: http://www.cncnz.com/features/gentool-for-cc-generals-and-zero-hour/ So following those simple steps you should be ready for battle via C&C: Online.
  9. There is no doubt that 3D Printing is coolest thing ever, almost revolutionary in terms of what we can do with it. It's even cooler when someone decides to do a 3D print out of the Hand of Nod from Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. The video above shows you how it was done from start to finish.
  10. Another week, means its time for another edition of Throwback Thursday. With the new that was released to much praise last week, I thought we should go back at look actors from Star Wars movies that have appeared in Command & Conquer games. And from the looks of it there has been only two. First there is James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader, he appeared in Tiberian Sun. But the today's Throwback Thursday looks back at Billy Dee Williams, who was Lando Calrissian in Star Wars. In Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars from 2007 he portrayed GDI Director Redmond Boyle. A pivotal character in the Tiberium Wars storyline but I can't say it was memorable performance from Mr Williams. Although he always did seem ! Maybe it was because or was it because he was . Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
  11. We have a few Command & Conquer community news related items to mention. So here a summary of what's popped up in the past few days. The Project Perfect Mod forums have recently moved to the new address of http://www.ppmforums.com. This is an effort to speed things up performance wise. So take note of the new URL, especially if you follow many of the mods and projects at Project Perfect Mod. The Community Battlecast Primetime team have recently set up a new Tumblr page. It consolidates all their past episodes in to one location. At the time of posting, not all of the episodes have been added just yet though. Take a look at the Facebook page for the Tiberium Icestorm mod and check out some of new artwork they have posted. There is artwork for the Tiberium Silo, Nod Attack Bike and the Nod Reckoner. Plus a really awesome piece of artwork featuring the Tiberium Vinifera Monolith. For those who like Command & Conquer, and those who like Minecraft, and like the idea of it combined. The CNC Minecraft team have recently started a new TeamSpeak 3 Server (85.236.100.85:18337). More community news can be found and posted in our C&C Community News forum. You are also welcome to send in your news tips to us.

GTA V Coming To PC, Xbox One & PS4

That's because its the exact the same game.
  13. Some interesting news here for those who are still active playing Tiberium Alliances. It would appear that the long running browser based Command & Conquer is seeing a change of developer. Envision Entertainment, made up of many of the team who were at Phenomic, the original developer of Tiberium Alliances, will be taking control and guiding it into the future. This is announcement made on the Official Tiberium Alliances Forums. Click here for the original announcement. There is also news about it posted on the Envision Entertainment site.
  14. Its Throwback Thursday time once again. And today we are really winding back the clock, 20 years to be exact, to the original Command & Conquer in August 1995. It features something that has disappeared from the more recent Command & Conquer games, and probably from many other games too. The score screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge were the last C&C games to have a score screen. And up to those games, Frank Klepacki even wrote music just for the the score screens. Back in the old days, after you completed that hard fought mission in the either GDI or Nod campaigns you were shown this screen that summarised how good you were. Yeah you beat the mission but the score screen always said you could have done better. And like all classic games of that era, you could type in your initials next your score for that extra ego boost! Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
  15. The score screens that disappeared are these ones. Not some boring screen with a bunch of stats.

    Current Site Issues

I'm confident in saying the annoying forum link redirect issue has been fixed. It would seem the steps I described above have worked. I will still be checking it from time to time though.
  17. A rather detailed and lengthy guide for Renegade X Beta 4 has been posted. Written by xBrackishx, it features plenty of playing tips, strategies and information. So its probably some recommended reading, especially for new Renegade X players. The PDF guide is available online right here. There are options to download and save it for off-line reading as well.

Thanks for the advice there Tore. Luckily I don't think this thing goes as deep as what you have described. It takes advantage of vulnerability in the IP.Board software. This is what I have done. I shared the same info with the Jelly Server guys. It only injects in the current primary forum skin (I think) Removed the injected code from these tables ibf_skin_cache > skin_global and also ibf_skin_templates > skin_global > includeJS Since the same code gets added to the /cache/skin_cache/cacheid_X/skin_global.php file, recached templates via AdminCP Changed all FTP/SQL Database passwords, changed all Admin and Moderators account passwords Its roughly 24 hours later since I made all those changes and I haven't seen it come back yet.
  19. As long as its C&C related feel free to promote your streams as much as you like

I found a thread on their forums about the exact same issue, http://jelly-server.com/forums/index.php?/topic/22566-links-to-the-site-from-google-are-being-redirected-to-other-sites-edit-should-be-fixed-let-me-know-in-this-topic-if-it-is-still-redirecting/ I don't think they have solved it. But I will contact them. I know the source of the SQL injection in the database tables and which template cache file this damn thing hides itself in. I've changed every password that we have as well as all Admin/Moderators passwords.

New Tiberian Sun: Reborn Teaser Video

All off topic posts have been remove from this thread. As per the long standing rule found here http://forums.cncnz.com/forum-27/announcement-12-command-conquer-news-forum-rule/ And yes something I posted was unprofessional and off topic so as per the rules it got deleted. I'm not exempt from the rules just because of the position I hold here. This news topic is for the discussion of the TS Reborn video made by @Zee Hypnotist. So please continue with that.
  23. A new video demonstrating how the upgrades, in the currently work in progress, Tiberian Sun mod for OpenRA are handled. There is still a lot to be done in this Tiberian Sun mod, and there many bugs to that need fixing. Apparently a lot of stuff was hidden in this "promotional demonstration" video. It's basically here to give you an idea of how it works in the game. Visit the OpenRA site for more.
  24. Its not the greatest game in the franchise, some say it shouldn't even be considered part of it. But it is what it is. And today, for Command & Conquer fans in New Zealand, Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight is on sale at Mighty Ape for only $12. So if you have never played it or you just want to add that missing game to your Command & Conquer collection, here's your chance. Remember it's the final epic conclusion to the 15-year Tiberium saga. So it's got to be worth it right?.... damn that was difficult to post!
  25. As much as I enjoyed playing the campaigns in all the C&C games, well almost all of them, I always took my time tackling each objective to accomplish the mission. I guess this series of video shows the direct approach works just as effectively. Watch as the CnCNet team shows you how to . That's the first mission above, all done in 2 minutes and 59 seconds. to watch the rest.
