That's odd. The site says it can be used in Win7

If you have a disc of Tiberium Wars, PES 2010/2011 or something else that installs DX9.0c by itself, you might want to use it (manually if you have to). I see no other option.

Hardly. Seems you don't have DX9 because the setup refused to install it over DX11.

Install DX9 from Tiberium Wars or Google it. (Have you really tried compatibility modes, running as admin...)

Try giving me an error log from your My Documents\Command And Conquer Zero Hour folder. It's more helpful.

Here's an idea. Download Worldbuilder. Run it, it will crash. Then, try to write down what does the crash window say and the error log that it creates.

He meant to suggest deleting all mods and patching the game to 1.08.

And please refrain from hitting Enter that many times if you don't have to.

Errr. Actually, the solution's pretty simple, or at least in my case.

1. Create options.ini in your Generals/Zero Hour data folder/s (refer to first post in this thread for further details).

2. Patch to latest version.

3. Run in WinXP SP3 compatibility mode.

Been playing for, like 3 hours with no hiccups whatsoever. And I'm running on Win7 Ultimate Edition (x64), Nvidia GTX 460, 4GB Ram, Intel i3 530 @2.93 GHz. And oh, DX11. >:D

I should have mentioned that the guy spoke directly to me via PM and that we've discussed solutions.

Currently, his problem is that he and his friend reinstalled the game. Perkan777's copy works fine, but his friend's doesn't (same torrent), as the game shows a "Game data mismatch" error when in LAN.

Strangely I can get Generals to work just fine, but Zero Hour won't launch, it simply minimizes a second after it starts.

Also, the main menu background is just a picture. How do I make it "animated", like I remember it?

OK, you know the drill. Return to the first post of this thread, do everything that's said there, come back here if you need help.

(only a pic in the menu... is that a RIP of some sort??)

No, I've heard of the issue before.
