Inferno 22 Posted December 24, 2010 Left 4 Dead 2. I'm kind of disappointed.. How? L4D2 is ****ing epic. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted December 27, 2010 It's been a nintendo wii Christmas... sonic colours, sonic racing, donkey kong country, mario & luigi: inside story (ds). And I think in another week's time I'll be getting Mario Galaxy 2. Share this post Link to post
rSquar3d 0 Posted December 27, 2010 Firing up Warcraft III and Cabal Online. I need to practice; gonna be joining a local gaming tournament. For Warcraft III, I need to polish my DotA skillz like hell. Competition is pretty stiff here. As for Cabal Online, I just need to formulate better PvP combos. I do need the cash, and I have a reputation to maintain. > Truly, competitive gaming isn't for the busy man. LOL. Share this post Link to post
Guest Stevie_K Posted December 27, 2010 How? L4D2 is ****ing epic. I guess I'm just not a fan of zombie bosses and stuff. Zombies are zombies, not mutants of which some are much stronger than others. I'm a big zombie fan if you can say that. I've read countless books and seen countless movies. Honestly I hoped it would be more of a "scavenge, barricade and survive" kind of game rather than an all-out shoot and shredding rampage. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted December 27, 2010 not mutants of which some are much stronger than others. I loved that part D: That, and playing co-op is just goddamn epic. Share this post Link to post
Plok 323 Posted December 27, 2010 Star Trek: Elite Force II, final level. It's pretty tough on Normal difficulty. I can only imagine what it's like on Very Hard... EF2 is one of rather rare games which beat their predecessor by far. If Activision could've done that in 2003, why can't EA do that now? Share this post Link to post
rSquar3d 0 Posted December 28, 2010 A bit of Halo: Reach again. Going for another mythic run on the 4th (namely, Long Night of Solace, or Long Night of Mythic in this case >) and 5th (namely, Exodus, or Mythodus in this case >). Pretty tough, long, and grueling. Seriously. > Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted December 28, 2010 Put down Halo and play Starcraft or something. Sheesh. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted December 29, 2010 Still chipping away on Fallout New Vegas. But mainly playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Its actually a whole game, not just a tacky expansion... That being said it plays almost exactly like AC2... Which isn't necessarily a bad thing but doesn't add much else, apart from extending the story which is OK. Share this post Link to post
rSquar3d 0 Posted December 29, 2010 I can't put down Halo: Reach until I finish it in Mythic difficulty! No game, at least FPS, are tougher than Halo: Reach on Mythic difficulty. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted December 29, 2010 Sure they do, its called multiplayer. Of course the results are not always consistent, but still more of a challenge than endless bots. Share this post Link to post
rSquar3d 0 Posted December 29, 2010 Oh... I haven't really specified what Mythic means. > Mythic means playing the game on Legendary (equivalent to Insane) difficulty, but with some added twists, namely, the usage of ALL SKULLS. Now skulls are difficulty multipliers, and having ALL active means the following: Black Eye - No auto-shield regeneration. Only melee attacks cause shields to recharge. Tough Luck - Grenades, Needler fire, projectiles (ie. Rocket Launcher, Brute Shot, and Fuel Rod Cannon) and vehicular charges are evaded more skillfully by the AI. Brutes go Berserk (meaning increased melee damage and toughness) more often and Grunts will turn Kamikaze (DANGER) more often. Catch - NPCs throw many more grenades at an alarming rate (at most, 2 grenades will kill you at Legendary). NPCs always drop two grenades when dying. Fog - Motion Tracker is fully disabled (makes AI have an easier time killing you with one-hit back melees). Thunderstorm - All enemies are promoted to higher ranks (this means that they are more resilient, hit harder, and are smarter). Famine - Dropped weapons have much less ammunition/charge (with tougher enemies, this makes for complicated situations). Tilt - Enemy defensive resistances/weaknesses are amplified (this means that if you don't have the right weapons, you're in for a rough fight). Mythic - All NPC's health allocation is doubled (combined with Thunderstorm and Tilt, the enemies become REAL tough. Iron - Teammate dead = Reload checkpoint. Everyone dead = Restart level. (This means if you are going solo, like me, you will have to restart the level from the very start each and every time you die) Now, if we follow that the credit (Halo's Xbox Live Currency) bonuses each skull gives is directly proportional to the amount of difficulty added by each skull, then the total difficulty multiplication from the original Legendary to Mythic is just 16.5. Plus Halo multiplayer is intensely competitive too. > Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 290 Posted December 31, 2010 Been playing Renegade lately. I tried to do the campaign on hardest difficulty without saving, but after I got halfway through and into the longer ones, a few random crashes made me relent on my goal. I got bored by the time I reached the second-to-last mission and quit for a while, playing on Jelly's Marathon server instead. However, today Jelly-server is down... both Renegade servers and the website too. So I went back to finish off the campaign (with minimal saving). If any of you recall, a Black Hand sniper with a Ramjet stands on top of the Communications building. Often, when he is killed, he drops the weapon even though the Ramjet is not supposed to be available in single-player. The Ramjet is apparently inaccessible though. I've always wanted to find some sort of glitch to acquire the thing just to say I did, and today I finally succeeded. Has anyone else ever managed to grab it? Or even tried? Anyway, I hope Jelly-server gets fixed soon... Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted January 1, 2011 Is the original Renegade freeware now? I forget. I know the engine is... but I wasn't sure about the original game. (I have 3 copies of the original from memory - but I'm trying to remember if the game is freeware...) Share this post Link to post
rSquar3d 0 Posted January 1, 2011 @Nmenth, ahahaha! Didn't notice that; I thought they only packed sniper rifles. Interesting. On what level is that? P.S. Moving on to SC2, trying to finish the campaign on insane. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 290 Posted January 1, 2011 On what level is that? 2nd to last mission. Share this post Link to post
Malevolence 6 Posted January 2, 2011 Finally completed Star Wars The Force Unleashed II. The main character is super dramatic IMO, lol. Show you what I mean. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted January 2, 2011 Isn't that the same guy who used the force to pull one of those big Star Wars battlecrusiers out of orbit INTO THE GROUND? Share this post Link to post
Guest Stevie_K Posted January 4, 2011 That behavior is just awkward lol. He seems "out of order" or something Share this post Link to post
Plok 323 Posted January 5, 2011 The main character is super dramatic IMO, lol. Who makes these characters up? Share this post Link to post
rSquar3d 0 Posted January 7, 2011 Playing good ol' Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II. Still an excellent game, IMO. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted January 8, 2011 I'm guessing you're be getting the Old Republic then? I would but its an MMO and I really dislike them. Me, I'm playing a little SC2. Share this post Link to post

rSquar3d 0 Posted January 8, 2011 Nah, I have no interest in newer Star Wars games. I'm playing for the D&D-esque gameplay. > And btw, I've moved on. Currently plaing Halo: Reach for the nth time. > Share this post Link to post
